To Our Family, Friends and Neighbors in the Nanaimo area,
We would like to share some pictures of our renewed jeep taken today - it is overcast. We don't usually promote business but we are making an exception this time. Our 12 year old jeep had a number of scratches on the exterior paint and had never had the carpets or the engine compartment cleaned professionally. We decided to treat her to some special attention at a local detail shop. We were hopeful the Jeep would look better however, never having used a detailer before we did not know exactly what to expect. We dropped the Jeep at 8 a.m. on Tuesday and picked her up on Wednesday morning. In a brief 24 hour span, these professional detailers performed a small miracle. At least, in our minds it was.
They did 3 coats of cut polish to take out all of the scratches and then a Polymer & Resin Sealant was applied. This will protect the paint from UV rays and makes the water bead up on it. We will know when it needs to be done again as the water will no longer bead. They treated the carpets with some magical product that then helped them to suck up all the dirt and grime leaving them looking like new. The interior was cleaned and treated - including the dash and leather seats. They did a remarkable job cleaning the engine compartment... it didn't look this good when we purchased her from the Jeep dealership (with 50,000 kilometers of light experience). The paint on our wipers had faded and chipped off and in places it was just bare metal. When I arrived to pick up the Jeep I was surprised and appreciative to see both wiper arms had been completely repainted and touch up paint had been applied to the exterior mirror where a rock had chipped it. Put that together with the overall shiny, clean and clean smelling Jeep... I think "Wow" was the word that kept coming out of my mouth. Both Krystal and I have gone out more than once just to look at her.
These folks are professional, courteous, prompt and really know what they are doing. Frans and his team love cars - their attention to detail and quality of work is testament to that. He really enjoys watching people appreciate seeing their vehicle being returned to, and in some cases, looking better than when it was new. In the course of conversation I mentioned I was looking to buy new wheels and Frans offered the name of a mobile wheel repair company that travels around the Island. New wheels were priced at approximately $500 per. Alloy Wheel Repair has quoted $125 to restore and reseal the Jeep wheels to look brand new again. Frans has seen the finished product and was happy to recommend the company.
The treatment our Jeep received was well worth the $299.00 (special February price).
